The 25:35 Initiative was birthed from a life of struggles. Living a long life of alcoholism, drug addiction, homelessness, depression, anxiety, and suicidal tendencies and attempts, all hope was gone. At least so I thought. Through help of a faith based recovery center in Dallas, TX named The Well Recovery Center, I was able to finally accept the fact that it was I that turned my back on God. I realized He never left me, nor forsook me. Now I understand that going through all those things and still being alive and out of jail was not for me to do nothing with, but for me to help those individuals going through the same things. I have been called to help those in the darkness, in addiction, in homelessness, in hopelessness. It’s time to bring light to the darkness. Please join me in spreading hope! - Jaime
